VII- Jesus Falls the Second Time

We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you. For by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.

It's getting later in the day, and warmer. Despite the fact that He has help now, Jesus continues to weaken. Dehydration, blood loss, and exhaustion continue to take their toll.

It wouldn't have taken much to trip and fall, and once down it would have taken awhile to get up again.

To continue the visual representations of the "fall" stations (I really think these particular three are more meant to be images showing the progression of Christ getting weaker and weaker as His passion continues)...

  1. I just noticed that between the two falls, all the stations represent an encounter with an individual. Mary, Simon, and Veronica. Not sure if that means anything.
I like your idea of the falls marking the weakening of the physical body.
