Roe v. Wade is Dead!!

Today, June 24, 2022, on the feast of the Sacred Heart, it was announced that Roe v. Wade has been  overturned. 

Leasing up to this moment, I've heard a lot of people saying that this isn't an end to the need for pro-life activism. It's true that we still have work to do. It's true that there are a lot of vulnerable people who are very scared right now, and they need to be taken care of and provided for. That's our next fight. 

But it's ok to take a moment to let what just happened sink in. For nearly fifty years, abortion has been the law of the land. Today, it's effectively illegal in half the country. 

The war is still being fought, and probably will be for a long time yet to come, but this is a major victory. A LOT of lives are going to be saved by this, and probably a lot of souls too. 

Don't gloat. That's never appropriate. Don't think that the war is over. It isn't. 

But do celebrate.
